This Acceptable Use Policy outlines the rules and guidelines for using CalFlow's AI-powered scheduling services. By using our platform, you agree to comply with this policy.

1. Permitted Use

You may use CalFlow for:

  • Scheduling meetings and appointments
  • Managing calendar availability
  • Automating reminders and notifications
  • AI-powered appointment confirmations and phone assistant (Cal.ai)
  • Legitimate business or personal scheduling needs
  • Integration with third-party calendar services

2. Prohibited Content and Activities

The following activities and content types are strictly prohibited:

2.1 Illegal Activities

  • Any illegal or unlawful purpose
  • Violating any local, state, national, or international law
  • Fraud or deceptive practices
  • Human trafficking or exploitation
  • Illegal gambling or betting

2.2 Harmful or Malicious Content

  • Content that promotes violence or illegal acts
  • Harassment, bullying, or intimidation
  • Hate speech or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, nationality, disability, etc.
  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or any content exploiting minors
  • Malware, viruses, or other harmful code

2.3 Adult and Inappropriate Content

  • Adult content, pornography, or sexually explicit material
  • Nudity or sexual content involving minors in any form
  • Obscene or vulgar content

2.4 Intellectual Property Violations

  • Copyright infringement
  • Trademark violations
  • Content that infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
  • Distributing pirated software or media

2.5 Spam and Unsolicited Communications

  • Sending unsolicited promotional content or spam
  • Mass messaging or bulk communications
  • Flooding or overloading our systems
  • Scraping or harvesting user data without permission
  • Phishing or social engineering attacks

2.6 Security Violations

  • Unauthorized access to any account or system
  • Attempting to bypass security measures
  • Introducing viruses, malware, or harmful code
  • Port scanning or network reconnaissance
  • Reverse engineering or decompiling our services

2.7 Abuse of AI Features

  • Using AI phone assistant (Cal.ai) for telemarketing or unsolicited calls
  • Scheduling meetings for illegal solicitation
  • Using AI features to harass, spam, or deceive contacts
  • Using AI to generate misleading, fraudulent, or harmful content
  • Attempting to manipulate AI systems through prompt injection or jailbreaking
  • Generating content that violates this AUP through AI features

3. AI-Generated Content Standards

When using CalFlow's AI features (including Cal.ai phone assistant), you agree to:

  • Not generate content that promotes illegal activities
  • Not generate content that harasses, threatens, or defames others
  • Not generate content that impersonates real persons without consent
  • Not use AI to create fraudulent documents or deceptive communications
  • Not use AI features to bypass content filters on other platforms
  • Take responsibility for the appropriateness of content generated through your use of AI features

4. API Usage Limits

API usage must comply with your plan's limits:

  • Do not exceed your allocated API call quota
  • Do not share API keys across multiple users
  • Do not use API for purposes not covered by your subscription
  • Do not reverse engineer or clone our API

5. Content Moderation

CalFlow employs automated systems and human review to monitor content for violations of this policy. This includes:

  • Automated scanning of user-generated content
  • AI content analysis for policy violations
  • Random and targeted human reviews
  • User reports and complaints review
  • Logging and monitoring of AI feature usage

6. Enforcement

Violations of this policy may result in:

  • Warning: First-time minor violations may receive a written warning
  • Content Removal: Immediate removal of violating content
  • Feature Restriction: Temporary or permanent restriction of AI features
  • Account Suspension: Temporary suspension for serious violations pending review
  • Account Termination: Permanent termination for severe or repeated violations
  • Legal Action: Cooperation with law enforcement and pursuit of legal remedies

7. Child Safety and CSAM Zero Tolerance

CalFlow has a zero tolerance policy for any content that exploits or endangers minors. Specifically:

  • Prohibited: Uploading photos of minors (anyone under 18) to our AI features
  • Prohibited: Using CalFlow to generate, modify, or distribute any content depicting child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
  • Prohibited: Any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers children in any way
  • Prohibited: Creating fake identities to circumvent child safety measures

Any account found violating this policy will be immediately terminated without notice. We cooperate fully with law enforcement and will report suspected child exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and relevant authorities.

8. Appeal Process

If you believe your account was suspended or terminated in error, you may appeal:

  • Submit an appeal within 14 days of the enforcement action
  • Provide relevant information supporting your appeal
  • Appeals should be sent to: appeals@calflow.app
  • We will review appeals within 7 business days
  • Appeal decisions are final

9. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this policy, please report it to us. We commit to the following response timeline:

  • Critical violations (CSAM, child exploitation, illegal content): Reports are reviewed within 24 hours. Urgent cases are escalated to law enforcement immediately.
  • High-priority violations (harassment, fraud, security threats): Initial response within 48 hours.
  • Standard violations (minor AUP breaches, content concerns): Response within 7 business days.

10. Policy Updates

We may update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before effective date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
